The SOFIA modular cupboard is part of the ThESIGN line, designed by architect Davide Negri to interpret the vision of Italian furniture that plays a fundamental part in LOVEThESIGN.
SOFIA is a completely customizable furniture system, with Italian-style lines from the fifties while sporting a contemporary Nordic design.

By virtue of its modular design and a colour palette in constant evolution, the SOFIA cupboard fulfils the needs of your family and home, both for today and tomorrow. The one thing that's certain is your freedom of expression.

The SOFIA cupboard has a module for everything that you love: a pet's haven with incorporated bowls for water and food, hidden vase-holders, planks to hold frames or iPads. Family, friends, business, pleasure: when things change or when you want to change them, SOFIA follows suit right there with you.

Care
Washing the surface with a moist cloth is recommended. For dusting, a simple cloth or brush with ostrich feathers. Do not use harsh or acidic detergents. Use rinsed degreasers or household water and alcohol solutions, otherwise low-concentrate vinegar.

In order to guarantee longer life for the springboard legs, dragging the piece is not recommended, but rather picking it up and moving.

The designer

Davide Negri
Davide Negri, architect and designer, graduated in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic University. In 2001 he founded his very own studio where he developed furniture, lighting and interior design. His projects found their way to fairs and exhibitions on both a national and international scale, from Europe to Australia and Korea. Over the course of his career he also garnered many recognitions, such as the Golden Compass - Young Project Mention - and the AD Architectural Digest Young Designers Award - Special Mention Young & Design Award. He also carried out didactic work as a professor of the European Institute of Design in Turin, at the Polytechnic University in Milan and at IAAD in Turin. He currently is in charge of all facets of development: product design, art direction and strategic consultancy for innovation and development of new brands in line with contemporary markets.

The joinery Montini is an artisanal workshop located in the area of Mantua, in Italy, born as the small atelier of Giberto Montini in 1953. Over the years, the entrerprise achieves more and more success, and Gilberto's son joins the team. The young Giancarlo Montini improves the technique by experiencing in woodworking, while refining ideas in Mantua's Art Institute. After working closely with his father since 30 years, Giancarlo succeeds to Gilberto, and he begins to explore the gap between craftsmanship and art, creating high-quality products for italian and international markets, from unique products to LOVEThESIGN pieces.
