Incredible accessories such as Hydria, the piece of furniture by Progetti signed by the young designer Gianluca Minchillo who managed to create an object that combines classicism and modernity, reviving in a contemporary key a vase that in the past was used as an umbrella stand. Born as an umbrella stand, thanks to the extreme lightness and clean design, it was redesigned as a true complement for indoor and outdoor decoration. Suitable for any location for any mood, Hydria can be used in the office or at home as a discreet and elegant object; on a terrace, with some candles; or as a stylish vase for flowers and plants. Finally, thanks to its finish, Hydria is ideal outdoor to create a magical atmosphere in the garden.
Clock Circle is the soft clock by Studio Kuadra for Progetti; this is another iconic accessory with an innovative soft coating made of MOSS, a natural lichen that can live indoors even without lighting. Clock Circle, despite its linear design, catches the eye thanks to the material it is made of which makes it really an amazing and unparalleled complement of its kind, with the plus of bringing nature indoors.
Here are some of the excellent designers who contributed to the growth of the brand Progetti.
A career that lasts since nearly four decades. He has proved himself in architecture, urban planning, interior and industrial design. Gaetano Pesce, architect and designer, has designed public and private projects in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia. In all his works he expresses his guiding principle: modernism is less a style than a way to interpret the present, and alluding to the future in which individuality is preserved and celebrated.
Pesce's work is exhibited in more than 30 permanent collections of the major museums around the world, such as the MoMA in New York and San Francisco, the Metropolitan Museum of New York, the Vitra Museum in Germany, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Centre Pompidou and Musee des Arts Decoratifs in the Louvre in Paris. He exhibited his works also in galleries around the world.
The professional life of Pesce was global, his innovations always cutting-edge. The boundaries between art, design and industry are irrelevant to him, as art is not something created and put on a pedestal: art is a product, it is our creative response to the needs of the time in which we live.
