The Frisbi pendant lamp: a piece of design history illuminates your spaces and wins you over with its design. The first version of the Frisbi pendant lamp came about in 1978. Behind it is the award-winning Achille Castiglioni, and since its creation the piece has never ceased to be an icon of timeless lighting design. An industrial style with essential lines, this pendant lamp has become a famous furnishing accessory worldwide. Another aspect behind its success is also the ability to directly light and tables and desks. The genius of Frisbi is how it manages to emit a light beam that’s both powerful but pleasant, using a single light bulb. This effect is due to its unique structure: a long rod connects to the ceiling with a lead head in the shape of a cone that holds the bulb. Below the light head is a round hole that allows for the light to send a beam through, creating concentrated yet scattered emission. A masterpiece in technology, based on an in-depth research of the relationship between different geometric shapes, completed by a wise choice of materials: the diffusor is made of PMMA with injection moulding and a textured opal finish; the light cover is made of a polished metal sheet with elegant, well-rounded nickel finish, while the interior is powder coated and reflects light for optimal uptake. There are also details of sturdy steel: these are the three cables that anchor the cable to the pendant lamp and add an additional element of merit to the overall design of the piece. Featuring a complex production process, Frisbi is a practical and versatile pendant lamp that’s truly out of the ordinary. It can help to illuminate and decorate in style and good taste for both home and corporate environments, as well as trendy restaurants or elegant bars. At home, it’s perfect on the table, optimizing visual comfort during lunch or dinner and giving an air of refined modern appeal while also working well in kitchens and living rooms, both formal and informal. Info: bulbs not included; recommended: 1 x MAX 70W E27 HSGSM/S or 1 LED 8W E27 900lm 2700K. Minimum distance from illuminated objects: 300 mm.
