Tidy up even those corners where there is usually nothing but chaos! Common sense, good humor, and great design – Servopluvio is a umbrella stand created by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni which has quickly become a classic among this type of accessories thanks to its captivating name and genius yet simple idea. In its extreme simplicity, this umbrella stand is made exclusively by essential elements but with a special feature. Around the central support rod made of black painted steel is wrapped a tubular rod in a thin "S"-shape, inside which the umbrellas are inserted. The additional idea is an aluminium water container, which is grafted to the polypropylene base of the center support, and which opens like the petals of a flower, collecting the water that drips from the umbrellas. Weighting 12 kg, the Servopluvio umbrella stand is such a simple and discreet piece that it can be used also outdoors as, thanks to its well-balanced weight, it is very stable but easy to move. Part of the "Servi" series which features an almost minimal design with a fun touch, the peculiarity of the water container sets this piece apart from other similar accessories. The extreme simplicity of its lines focuses all the attention on the function performed by Servopluvio, which shares the ‘rule of three’ – three structural elements, a rod, a container, a support for stability – with all other accessories in the series. Three are also the functions of this furnishing complement: a practical one, an intellectual one, and a design one. There is no doubt that this original design will bring a smile to your face, while its clever structure will make your life easier. It is also suitable for outdoor use.
