Elastic microfiber, easy-dry fabric and polyurethane foam are the main materials that Alexander Comerlati has chosen to give life to his great beanbags: products that combine their primary function to a minimalist contemporary design enhanced by high quality. It is the surfer himself to tell that about fifteen years ago he returned from a trip to South Africa bringing with him as a souvenir some imaginative colourful beanbags; it was then that he wondered if he should try to produce something similar. The same comfort of handmade beanbags enriched by the functionality of the most modern materials to suit the requirements of private homes or public places. The turning point that started the production came with the discovery of lycra, a very resistant and versatile material which gave him the right inspiration to create something revolutionary. After several years of testing, experiments and the creation of some prototypes, in 2011 Alessandro Comerlati patented Expandpouf: a seat created using thousands of polystyrene microspheres, no larger than a millimeter, wrapped in a fabric bag. The tiny spheres' dimensions make them virtually invisible from the outside, but thanks to them the beanbag moves in a very natural way, making these seats perfectly ergonomic and comfortable. The success of this brand has never stopped over the years, until the last creation by XPOUF: "Pouf X-Five", ahis beanbag made of elastic Lycra and microfiber. A new-generation pouf characterized by a minimalist design, the extraordinary elasticity of the material, ergonomics and also the lack of a zipper. Pouf X-Five keeps five different seating positions, and it can comfortably accommodate up to two people. The pouf is made up of two elements: the core, consisting of the inner bag containing the foam beads which, combined with elastic microfiber, offers a comfort and ergonomics that you will never find in other models; and the C.D. cover, that is the outer covering that protects the pouf. The cover is of course removable, so you can wash it in the washing machine. Also, you can buy several covers in different shades of colour, so as to change them depending on your mood and furnishings.
