Agnes Fries graduated with a Masters degree in Glass and Ceramics from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts – The School of Design in 2005. Since graduating, Agnes Fries has been teaching design and working as a product designer. Often inspired by art, music or fashion, Agnes Fries designs functional objects that are both classical and conceptual. "I strongly believe in quality of materials and ideas and that we shouldn't put anything in the world that lacks in either of them. When I design, I am fascinated by the composition of objects. Relations between space, color and structure are important to me, and I have an intuitive understanding of when things feel ‘right'. I'm intrigued by that feeling and the fact that certain things feel right to many people. Good design does that no matter how old it is."
