Andreas Ostwald was born in Germany in 1964. After apprenticeship as a modeler and industrial design studies in Kiel, in 1996 he began his own business, giving life to the Ostwalddesign studio. From 1996 to 2006 he taught Design at the "Muthesius Hochschule" in Kiel, while from 2005 he was a full professor at the HFK University in Bremen. In his study of product and interior design, Ostwald is always looking for total uniqueness, which leads to the creation of exclusive products and unmistakable spaces. In fact, the focus of his philosophy is the ambition for aesthetic perfection, which can only be reached through absolute proportions. For Ostwald, elegant design must be in harmonic relation not only with its details, but also and above all with the environment: developing products respecting man and the environment means seeking an innovative interaction with the new technological possibilities and physical.
