Denis Santachiara was born in 1950 in Campagnola, Reggio Emilia. He started his business in 1966 as a designer at the Fiat Style Center. Realizes high-tech designs and artificial densities, exhibited in personal and collective exhibitions even at the Venice Biennale in 1980 and the Grand Palais of Paris. He has held numerous exhibitions including "La Neomerce" at the Triennale of Milan in 1985 and the Center Pompidou in Paris. He took care of the "New Person" set-up for the 1996/97 Biennial of Florence. He has collaborated with Baleri Italia since 1995 and is author of highly successful ironic and poetic projects such as Mama, Tato and Celine. Enrico Baleri was born in Albino (BG) in 1942. In 1965, at the invitation of Dino Gavina, he opened a furniture center in Bergamo. In 1968 he founded the Pluri Research Group in Milan. He designs furniture, lamps and objects for Gavina, Flos, Knoll International and Alias, which he founded in 1979 and in which, until 1983, he has been the artistic director. In 1984 with Marilisa Decimo he founded Baleri Italia and collaborated with Hollein, Mendini and with the debutants Starck, Dalisi, Wettstein to form a unitary collection. From 1989 to 1992 he chaired the Casa Malaparte Association for the cultural revaluation of the famous architectural document on the island of Capri. In 1994, he founded the Italian AALTO / Vyborg Association and involved companies and professionals in a collective operation able to collect private contributions for the Library of Viipuri, masterpiece of Alvar Aalto in Russian territory. In 2004 he founded with Marilisa Baleri Decimo and Luigi Baroli the research center eb & c, collaborating with seasoned balers and other companies for the development of products.
