Dennis got into design because it seemed like the perfect way to balance his artistic creativity and his engineering sensibilities. He started at Umbra as a co-op student through the design internship program, and joined the Umbra studio full time in 2009, after graduating with high distinction from Carleton University’s School of Industrial Design. Dennis enjoys the challenges of figuring out the little things, and considers thoughtful details and conscientious decisions the hallmarks of great design. He strives to design products that are a joy to use and that enrich everyday experiences.
