Gino Marotta is well-known for his constant research for new materials and new techniques to create big size works like the Bosco Naturale-Artificiale (natural-artificial wood) in 1967, the Eden Artificiale (artificial Eden) made of methacrylate, the Misura Naturale Cava (Natural size cave) made of fibreglass and the recent coloured Luci (lights). His last exhibitions include Trasparente/Apparente (transparent/apparent) at La Nuvola in Rome (2008), Gino Marotta amore amore (love love) at Studio Visconti in Milan (2009) and Gino Marotta at MACRO in Rome (2009).
