Luis Alberto Arrivillaga
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering at University Rafael Landivar in Guatemala, he moved to Milan to complete his studies with a postgraduate course in Interior Design and one in Industrial Design. In 2008 during the Salone del Mobile in Milan he participated to the Best-Up event at Fabbrica del Vapore with an interior design project called Caos Calmo. At the beginning of 2011 he moved to London to search for new work experiences. In London he started to work for the design and consulting studio Nikid. In the same year he won the MDF Italia + Cristalplant contest with his PUTIA project, a table that became part of MDF catalogue 2012.
In the second half of 2011, he came back to Milan to open the Luis Arrivillaga Studio, where he started to work with several companies and professionals including MDF Italia, Made a Mano, Ex.T. At the same time he carried on his partnership with Prospero Rasulo and others. In early 2012 he presented with MDF Italia his BEAM table at the Cologne fair and in April he participated to the OUT NOW exhibition, to the fuori salone with the Mariu lamp as a prototype and the CHIUMMO stool with the company Made a Mano.
