Nendo - Luca Nichetto
"Nendo" in Japanese means "clay" and so it is proposed to be the work of the studio, founded by the architect Oki Sato: ductile and creative. Through projects that belong to different worlds - from architecture, to furniture, to industrial design and graphic art - the studio has achieved important international credits and awards in a few years. For Foscarini he designed the Maki lamp, an object that is surprising for its profound simplicity and - together with Luca Nichetto - Kurage, a table lamp that seeks the lightness of light in every design detail. Designer of breath and international culture, active between Venice and Stockholm, Luca Nichetto works in many sectors, designing objects intended to be used and loved. The method of his study, conceived as a multidisciplinary team of people, starts from intuitions that are developed through a rigorous research work. Innovation and uniqueness are the common feature of his projects for Foscarini, from O-Space, an exciting presence in space, designed with Gianpietro Gai, to Plass inspired by ancient sensations but using contemporary materials, to Troag, a union of nature and technology.
