Tom Lloyd and Luke Pearson founded PearsonLloyd in 1997 and have since completed a wide variety of projects. The study has created an investigative "research" approach based on research, able to combine in a balanced way creations, efficiency, user needs and ergonomics. Among the awards obtained the Gold DBA Design Effectiveness, and the award of Royal Designers of Industry. In 2011 they designed the eleven upholstered seating system for Alias, followed by the tables (2012) and the high back version, with a high back (2015) as a natural completion. They live and work in London.
