Roberto Paoli
He graduated in Architecture in 1994 in Florence. He immediately dedicated himself to small scale projects, specializing in techniques such as glass bending and injection moulding for plastic. This originated his partnership with brands like Fiamitalia and Fellowes, allowing him to gain the technical and methodological knowledge that helped him to create his idea of design, in which functionality and technology are combined with the shape of objects.
His Milan-based studio deals with both products and architecture, developing projects for houses, shops and showrooms, in addition to installations and booths. Roberto Paoli is also a creator and a curator of exhibitions, initiatives and events revolving around the culture of design.
Roberto Paoli today works for leading brands for lighting and furniture design like Muranodue, Artemide, Nemo Cassina, Fiamitalia and Serralunga. His products trigger a great interest in international media.
In 2010 his FreskoGel - a set of supports for notebooks made of Technogel® for Tucano - was selected for the Design Index ADI 2009 as a candidate for the Compasso d'Oro award. In 2009, 2010, and 2011 he won for three consecutive times the Good Design Award in Chicago.
