The Cloudy ceiling lamp: an original piece by Fabbian to create the sky in a room! Creating lamps similar to clouds: this was the great idea of French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, and it proved to be exceptional. Lehanneur has designed the Cloudy collection, a line of lamps that are clearly inspired by the shape of clouds moving in the sky. The designer himself described this creation as a paradox: the steel moulds used to make the lamps have a very elaborate structure yet the end result gives the items a look of innate lightness, really perfect for a lamp with such shape. The Cloudy ceiling lamp is one of the models of this collection, which includes, in addition to other ceiling lamps in different sizes, even chandeliers. This daring project by Mathieu Lehanneur boasts a prestigious signature such as that of Fabbian, an Italian company specialized in lighting fixtures which has always shown a preference for modern and innovative styles. Fabbian realized Lehanneur’s idea with exquisite materials: the structure of these lamps is in die-cast aluminium while the main part – that corresponding to the ‘cloud’ – is made in glass, with the upper half in milk white gradually fading into clear glass at the bottom for an even more striking effect. The Cloudy ceiling lamp, together with all the other lamps in the collection, has been a truly exceptional achievement and has also had great recognition, being awarded the IF Design Award in 2014. Modern in look, irreverent but elegant at the same time, the Cloudy ceiling lamp can be easily paired with the other models in the Cloudy collection, helping you to recreate a fascinating ‘sky in the room’ effect!
