Spike shelf by Magis

So much more than a simple shelf, Spike is an innovative piece of wall furniture useful to place books or accessories of various kind. Made in Carrara Marble, the Spike shelf was created by German designer Konstantin Grcic for the Italian brand Magis, and it is part of the The Wild Bunch collection. An innovative idea to add a touch of elegance to your home, what makes this item special is not simply the use of marble but rather the fact that this natural material was paired with coloured plastic: the clamp that allows you to install the shelf on the wall, in fact, is made in fibreglass polypropylene to ensure greater solidity and strength. The Spike shelf is available in different shapes and in different materials but the round one is the only model in marble, making this model particularly suitable for various purposes: in fact, while it can be a practical and innovative shelf to lay books on in a living room or studio, it can also be used in the bedroom in the place of classic nightstands. Furthermore, despite the value of the material used, the Spike shelf is a very youthful and modern piece, not least thanks to the plastic clamp available in various colours – white and black, but also blue or orange. The Spike shelf in Carrara marble can hold a maximum weight of 20 kg but this weight refers to a perfectly installed shelf.
