To describe his work as designer, Emmanuel often quotes Constantin Brancusi : "Simplicity as solved complexity". Elegance, chasteness, and simplicity are the guidelines Emmanuel Gallinàs work. His creative ethics remains honesty and consistency in each project and the attention to detail is a constant priority in lines, shapes and functions of his creations.
His creations for international and strongly contemporary brands like Poliform, Rotaliana, Fast, Eno, Clen, Nodus, Omikron design, Manade, Toulemonde Bochart or Covo resemble each other for the search for harmony and simplicity. Since 2010 he does some consulting work for various companies on a market strategy and brand identity level as art director (Carl Zeiss Vision, Clen,…). In addition to teaching at Politecnico in Milan, Emmanuel Gallina works as tutor at Domus Academy and Istituto Marangoni, both in Milan, and at the Istituto Lima in Bordeaux. He is often invited to hold conferences in France, Italy, China and Brazil.
Clara Giardina was born in Sicily and lived most of her life in Italy. Clara strongly believes in the value of relations and of people that weave their stories on a scenic background that only the "good Design" is able to arrange at its best. She graduated at Politecnico in Milan in Industrial Design. During her studies she had working experiences at Hiroshi Tsunodàs studio in Barcelona, and at Andrea Branzi's studio in Milan, then she worked for 4 years for Vudafieri Saverino Partners' studio with retail and interior projects for luxury brands. She designed with Emmanuel Gallina for Italian and French companies like Industreal, Eno, Nodus and others.
Selected among the 30 young European talents for Young Designers Meet the industry at Abitare il Tempo, she currently works as a freelance designer and cooperates with Politecnico in Milan, while she observes and takes part to the birth of a new "future artisan", self-producing her own limited-edition ceramic items.
