Has anyone seen the knife to cut the panettone?

No one answers you and you are sure you have seen it just there, in its place, on the kitchen countertop.

Or at least it was there before you tidied up. And where are the gifts for your nephews? You left them at the entrance, now where did you put them? What a mess. And the guests are coming!

This is a huckmuck Christmas. Because huckmuch is an ancient English dialectical way of saying, that indicates the chaos caused by objects that are no longer in place - after you had finally tidied up each room!
