Liliana Ovalle
Liliana Ovalle (Mexico City 1977) is a designer who lives and works in London. After her degree at the Royal College of Art (2006) she founded and managed her own studio, following projects between Mexico, Italy and England. She was born and raised in Mexico City, her works are strongly influenced by her background. In her objects comfort and functionality dialogue with opposite values: improvisation, breech and incompleteness, concepts that are permeated in everyday life in her home town in Mexico.
Her creations have been widely published and selected for various international design exhibitions (British Council in Milan, Paul Smith Spazio Tokyo, Design Miami). She received the British Council's Talent Award in 2006 and the Clara Porset Special Award in 2008.
