But the truth is that the word FEST is an acronym for the name of the two founders: FEmke and STeven, and it could not be more appropriate for the range of colourful and playful products designed and sold by the company! The second part of the name, however, does not require many interpretations: the company started its activities in Amsterdam, precisely in Roelof Hartstraat 74, but we cannot guarantee that it will remain here, considering its great worldwide success and the market demand!A short but intense historyThis young company was founded in 2009 thanks to the common purposes of the brother and sister Steven and Femke. After travelling through many countries in Asia, visiting various factories and as many exhibitions, they decide to start this successful adventure at the end of 2012 with the desire to launch a line for the house including different accessories. The company opened and established on the market in 2013 thanks to an idea of Femke Furnée that when he could not find an affordable solution to furnish her home, decided to create it herself!The values leadning Fest AmsterdamIt is thanks to Femke Furnèe's personal research to find well-designed furniture that could represent her but sold at affordable prices, that Fest Amsterdam was born, with its slogan "festive furnishings to love and use."
