Lesbo table lamp by Artemide

Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Artemide, the Lesbo lamp is an icon of Italian design from the Seventies. It is named after the Greek island where poet Sappho used to live. It blends a skilfully worked glass and a sculptural mushroom shape. It comprises a simple ring-shaped base made from chromed metal supporting a mouth-blown Murano glass diffuser.
